Things to do: What is an Escape Room?
Looking for something to do? During this difficult time for our community, there is not a lot to do for entertainment. Chances are you are currently mid-Google to find something to do. Perhaps you’re here to learn a bit more about what an escape room is, if you’d like to play one, and whether or not there will be strangers in your room! (Answers: fun, yes, and never.)
What is an escape room?
Escape rooms are like a photograph – playing one is worth a thousand words! In less than 1,000, we think the best way to describe an escape room is to say that it’s like a mix between a board game and a video game. Also, it’s life-sized. Your game is 1 or more rooms that are themed and immersive based on your game’s scenario. You have 60 minutes to accomplish your mission and win the game.
What is an example of an escape room?
Curse on the Emerald Seas: Upon escaping the Crimson Storm, you and your crew have found yourselves adrift and come across the mysterious ship known as The Emerald Seas. Legends tell that this ship was cursed when its crew mutinied and traded their captain’s heart for unknown treasures. Witnesses say the ship only appears for an hour before sinking below the water. You and your crew board the ship in hopes of dispelling the curse and claim the ship as your own before it returns to the watery depths.

What health and safety precautions are you taking?
As always, all of our games are private at no extra charge, so there will never be strangers in your room with you. In addition to maintaining private games, we’re taking a number of steps to ensure escape rooms are as clean and safe as possible.
Your room will be thoroughly cleaned before you enter. We’ve spread out our gaming schedule to minimize groups interacting between games. You’ll experience a contactless check-in to ensure we can maintain 6ft of distance between your group and your game master.
